THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO MADE OUR 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY BANQUET A SUCCESS!
A HUGE THANK YOU to all those who helped make our 10 Year Anniversary Banquet such a success! We had so much to celebrate and so much to be thankful for. For those of you who were unable to make it, you can catch a short recap that was captured by Twin Cities Hmong Television here. Incoming board president, Kou Moua and outgoing board president, Jimmy Yang, both spoke a few words on the both the incredible support and incredible successes MNAPOA has been a part of. A few highlights:
A huge thank you to the previous 2017 MNAPOA Board, Banquet Committee, Advisers, generous sponsors and all the community members that gathered to support us, and continue to support us. Thank you for supporting MNAPOA to become an incredible organization that promotes the best community police partnerships, both today and for decades to come.
A few of our past successes worth celebrating:
MNAPOA has grown to encompass over 200+ members across local, county, and state agencies.
MNAPOA supported the promotion of 15 highly qualified sergeants locally, with training, mentorship, networking, etc. to drive towards our goals of diversifying our police force.
Last Year, MNAPOA was honored to host the National Asian Peace Officers’ Annual Conference, bringing in members from our partner associations all across the country to promote training, mentorship, networking, sharing resources, and more.
A reminder of our roots – a very special thank you to those of you who helped craft the vision of MNAPOA over 10 years ago. Phung Chung, Mong Lee, Charlie Lee, David Yang, and John Harrington – your hard work and legacy have helped make today a reality. Together, we’ve planted the seeds, the ideas that our current peace officers will be leaders and thrive within their ranks and departments.
A sneak peak in the future – As we grow and move forward, we are continuing to examine and push ourselves to make our organization serve our members even better. In order to build upon that capacity to serve our members, we are planning on rolling out a few additional committees which may include: Public Relations, Special Events, Mentorships, Training, Fundraising, and Volunteering to name a few.
