This position will protect and serve Metro Transit employees, passengers, equipment and property. We anticipate utilizing this recruitment process to fill a Spring 2019 academy session. Applicants must be eligible to be licensed by March 1, 2019

Metro Transit its own licensed police force committed to the safety of its customers and employees, serving eight counties and 85 cities in the region. There are approximately 141 full-time officers, 60 part-time officers, 20 community service officers and 12 administrative staff dedicated to one thing: public safety on and near our transit system. Transit police officers ride buses and trains as well as patrol along bus routes, METRO Blue Line (Hiawatha), METRO Green Line (Central Corridor), and the Northstar Line. Transit Police Officers also inspect fares on the Blue Line, Green Line and Northstar trains
